Description

Doll Mountain Campground is a public, 65-site campground located by Carters Lake in the North Georgia Mountains in Ellijay, Georgia. In addition to being surrounded by incredible scenery that consists of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the largest reservoir lake in Georgia, the Doll Mountain Campground offers everything you would need for a great camping experience, which is why it is a very popular location during the summer.

The forested campground offers tent and RV campsites (back-ins and pull-throughs), thirty-nine of which have water and electric hookups, while just a few of those also include a sewer. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, grill, and a fire pit. Flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, and laundry facilities are also available on-site and make the patrons’ camping trip that much more comfortable.

Plus, if that wasn’t enough, the dog-friendly campground is also family-friendly, with a children’s playground on-site for the little ones to enjoy. There is also a payphone and a dump station at the campground. The campsites are well-spaced out, which provides the campground’s patrons with some much-appreciated peace and privacy. Rates start at $18 per night but vary depending on hookups.

One of the biggest perks of staying at the Doll Mt. Campground is its convenient and easily accessible location. With paved roads and several boat ramps around the lake, enjoying a day of fishing or boating is a breeze. Whether you prefer paddleboarding or catching bass, you will surely find a fun activity to participate in out on the lake and enjoy a good time with your family and canine companions.

Although this campground is great for a weekend of fishing, boating, picnicking, or simply spending time outdoors, it is not ideal for hikers, since there are no easily accessible hiking trails nearby. However, if you enjoy water sports or swimming, this is the place for you and your four-legged family member. Just pack enough plastic bags to clean up after your pooch, and watch out for ticks and poison ivy that can be encountered in the area.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
