Description

Looking for a lakeside adventure you can share with Fido? Erving State Forest has all the activities and amenities you'll need to enjoy a stay by the bright-blue Laurel Lake! The park's campground has 27 campsites, many of which offer stunning views of the lake. The nightly rate at this furrific campground is $17 for Massachusetts residents and $27 for non-residents.

If you and your pup love hiking, Erving State Forest is the perfect choice for you. The forest is home to eight miles of trails you and your dog can explore together. If you’d like to hike along lovely Laurel Lake, hop on the College Nature Trail. Or, if you’d like to trek along peaceful Keeup Brook, try the Bear Claw Loop Trail. As you’re walking on these forest trails, you may get to see some of the area’s native wildlife, including porcupines, foxes, squirrels, raccoons, and much more.

Erving State Forest is also a great choice for water enthusiasts. There’s a boat ramp available in the campground, making it easy to launch your small motorboat, kayak, or canoe. If you’re an angler, you can try your luck catching bluegills, pickerels, trout, perch, and more! There’s also a beach on Laurel Lake, but just be aware that pups aren’t permitted on the beach, so they’ll have to sit this activity out.

Erving State Forest’s campsites also have plenty of fun amenities for you and your dog to enjoy. Each campsite comes with a pedestal grill you can use to cook up dinner for you and your dog. You can then enjoy your dinner on your campsite’s picnic table. Every campsite also comes with a campfire ring where you can build a cozy fire.

The pawesome Erving State Forest is a fun, scenic place to go camping with your furry best friend. Remember to clean up after your dog while you’re at the campground, and enjoy camping here!
