Fern Lake Campground & RV Park

Fern Lake Campground is found in Paducah, Kentucky, and it's a unique find as the campground is surrounded by the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Not only does the campground offer you tons to do, but the national park is another hidden treasure that's accessible for you and your pup to explore!

Fern Lake Campground and Cumberland Gap are both dog-friendly, so make sure you bring your pup for your camping vacation! While inside the campground and when visiting the national park, you're asked to keep your pooch on a leash at all times. You're also asked to keep control over your pup, prevent them from disturbing the environment and wildlife (especially when in the park) and of course, tidy up any pet waste they make!

At Fern Lake, all campers are welcome. Campsites can accommodate pop-up tent trailers, RVs, and tents, with a variety of sites to choose from. For starters, RV sites can come either fully loaded with all your essential hookups, including water, sewage, and electricity, or with electricity only. There are also electric-only sites that are suitable for pop-ups and tent sites that come with or without electricity. If you're a Good Sam member, discounts apply. Day passes are not permitted at this campground, and basic non-electric campgrounds cost only $15 per night! 

When planning out your day, think about taking a walk around the scenic Fern Lake, where you'll see anglers fishing the water. You can also check out the playground, enjoy a game of shuffleboard or partake in some outdoor games. The Cumberland National Park surrounding the lake offers guests ample outdoor opportunities including hiking, biking or golfing. If you do decide to hike or bike, it's a great way for your pup to get in their exercise.

The modern touches at Fern Lake are sure to make your stay pleasant. Not only can you find updated washroom facilities with showers, but there's also a laundry service, so packing light is easy. Ice and wood are sold in the main office, so you never have to leave the campground!
