Description

Are you looking for the perfect place to enjoy a fishing trip with your best four-legged friend near Loveland, Colorado? Set a course for Flatiron Reservoir! This 47-acre stocked reservoir is a pawpular spot for anglers in the area. Canine campers are more than welcome at Flatiron Reservoir's campground, and guests rave that a stay here will make you and your buddy feel as though you're a million miles away from it all!

Offering modern luxuries (including electrical camping hook-ups) as well as basic accommodations, the Flatiron Reservoir Campground has standard sites as well as rental teepees for anyone looking for that authentic camping experience.

The facilities at the campground include bathrooms and picnic tables. There is a swim beach for people, though dogs aren’t allowed in the swimming area or the teepees. Pooches need to be on-leash and attended at all times. There is a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier for all your fishing fun.

There are 37 camping sites available to rent, including electrical and primitive spots. Nightly rates are $15 to $25, depending on the site type and the season. During off-peak season (October – March), campsites are readily available but are usually at capacity during peak camping season. We advise booking your spot a few months in advance to avoid disappointment. A $7 vehicle entry fee applies, and you'll also need to obtain a camping permit.

Nearby, you'll find many trails your dog would pawsitively love exploring, but be sure to keep an eye out for bears! While Fido might not marvel at the sight of the Front Range Mountains looming overhead, you surely will, so bring your phone along to capture these vistas.

If you’re interested in exploring the amazing Rocky Mountain foothills in Colorado, Estes Park is 50 miles away and has an abundance of wildlife watching opportunities. Boulder, a city in a country setting, is only 45 minutes away and has spectacular views of the foothills.

Flatiron Reservoir puts you and Fido in the pawfect position to explore everything this scenic region of Colorado has to offer!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
