Georgia Freshwater Campgrounds at Broad River, also known as Broad River Campground, is one of three campgrounds located on Clark's Lake in Lincoln County Georgia. Of the three campgrounds, Broad River is the largest and the only one with a fish cleaning station.
Like its sister campground, Broad River has large, spacious sites that are surrounded by trees and bushes. Sites are spaced out so they feel intimate and private. All sites can accommodate RVs, tents, pop-up trailers, and other camping vehicles. The campground, as a whole, is far away from the busyness of city life, making it a peaceful and a truly authentic outdoor vacation location.
Of the 31 campsites, 7 are doubles and 2 are triples, so group camping or larger vehicles can be accommodated. All sites have a private fire pit and access to a bathhouse. Day passes are available at this campground for only $5 if you wanted to check out the campground or just swing by for a short visit.
All sites are dog-friendly so long as you keep your pooch on their leash and tidy up any mess they make. Your dog is permitted to enter the lake, but you’re asked to be mindful of other guests while swimming with your four-legged friend.
Other ways to spend your time while visiting the lake include boating, such as kayaking, or swimming in the lake. Relaxing by the fire and gazing at the stairs is another favorite pastime for guests. If you decide to cast a line in the lake, you can look forward to catching bass (both large and small mouth), crappie, bluegill, channel, and other freshwater fish. Clean your fish right at the campground before cooking it over your fire. Clark's Lake is known to have some of the best fishing around, so if you're an angler, don't miss out!
