Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort

If you've ever heard of the Sun Communities RV "campgrounds," then know that when you choose to stay at any one of their hundreds of RV spots, you're not really staying at a campground -- you're staying in a luxury resort with all sorts of glamorous extras and additions. The Grand Lake RV Resort in Citra, Florida is no exception! Named one of the top nine resorts in the United States by USAToday, the Grand Lake RV and Golf Resort certainly isn't slacking on amenities and accommodations. Located just outside Ocala, Florida (AKA horse country), there's plenty to do nearby, as well! 

For starters, you can stay in either a selected RV spot, a vacation rental, or even purchase your very own home at this resort. The most important part of this all-age resort? Your doggo can come along with you! While you're welcome to walk your pup on-leash around the resort, there's also an off-leash pet area where you can set your pet free to sniff out some new canine compadres. Please register your pet with the front office at check-in. 

The biggest attraction to this resort is that it sits on nine holes of rolling green golf course. In addition to this, there's a golf clubhouse as well as the Eagles Nest Cafe, an on-site restaurant that serves up signature dinners after a hard day of golf. The resort also features a driving range, horseshoes, a pro shop, a putting green, golf cart rentals, a fitness center, a rally hall, and a recreational hall that's available for rent! 

As if all that weren't enough, Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort also has on-site biking, hiking, ziplining, and wine-tasting. Though you probably would never need to leave the resort, there are plenty of local shops, restaurants, and attractions to explore! Take your pup out to explore Silver Springs State Park, check out the famed Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, and even see the Museum of Natural History.
