Description

Florida boasts some of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches anywhere in the United States, and you can find one of the best of them at Grayton Beach State Park. This park covers nearly 2,000 acres and offers a plethora of opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and engaging in a wide range of other recreational activities.

If you love feeling the sand between your toes, the beach is no doubt where you'll plan on spending most of your time. Whether you're cooling off in the pristine water, casting a line in the hope of catching some dinner, or simply spreading out on the sand to catch some sun, you'll feel right at home in this idyllic coastal location.

The beach is backed by rolling sand dunes that give way to coastal dune lakes. There are more opportunities for fishing in the lakes' brackish waters, with boat launch ramps and picnic facilities also available.

Grayton Beach State Park, just like all other Florida state parks, welcomes pets in designated day-use areas. Your canine companion will need to be kept on a leash of six feet or shorter and must be on their best behavior at all times. You'll also need to clean up after your pet whenever necessary and remember that pets are not allowed on or in beaches, playgrounds, and bathing areas.

Accommodation options include 30 cabins nestled in pine scrub, but these are unfortunately not pet-friendly. However, more than 50 campsites are located in a wooded area near Western Lake, and your four-legged friend is more than welcome to join you here.

If you're looking for the ideal destination for a pet-friendly camping vacation by the beach, Grayton Beach State Park is well worth a closer look. So slip into your swimwear, pack up your pet, and get ready for the paw-fect seaside escape.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
