Harmonie State Park

Tucked away in a scenic location along the Wabash River, Indiana's Harmonie State Park offers excellent facilities, myriad recreational opportunities, and pet-friendly camping. The park is found about 25 miles northwest of Evansville and is well worth a visit if you want to go camping with your dog in southwestern Indiana.

Whether you stop by for a night or a longer getaway, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied. You can fish in the Wabash River or two wildlife ponds, cool off in the Olympic-sized swimming pool, enjoy a scenic picnic, or set out to investigate 7.5 miles of horse trails.

If you're an avid hiker, there are eight miles of easy to moderate trails on offer. Mountain bikers are also well catered for and can leave from Sycamore Ridge to explore eight miles of mountain bike trails.

When you're ready to set up camp for the night, the pet-friendly Harmonie State Park campground features 200 electric sites. While there are also 11 cabins available, pets are not permitted in these structures.

Park entrance fees are $7 for Indiana residents and $9 for out-of-state visitors. Don't forget to check the camping fees that apply before reserving a site.

If traveling with your pet, please note that your dog will need to be kept on a leash when not confined to a vehicle. It's also essential that your pooch is well-behaved and under control at all times, and that you clean up after your dog whenever necessary.
