Description

See the magnificent lands that make up High Cliff State Park, where limestone rock formations meet the shores of Lake Winnebago. This combination of forest, rock, and water has caught the attention of people for centuries, as this area is heralded as sacred by Native America peoples. Bring your furry friend along to experience this gem in Wisconsin for yourself!

The campground is comprised of 118 different sites, both electric and non-hookup. There are also group sites available here if you prefer to make the trip with friends or family. To enter the park, you must pay $8 per vehicle if you're from the state, $11 if you aren't, and only $3 if you're a senior citizen. Campsite costs vary depending on the amenities you select. During the warmer months, drinking water and flush toilets are available; however, if you visit in the winter, you'll have to use vault toilets and access water from the park office.

There are so many different things to do at this state park! When the weather is good, days can be spent out on the water fishing, boating or swimming. Hunting is allowed in areas of the park, though you do need to make sure you have the applicable permits to do so. Your pooch will get their fill of exercise on the many hiking trails that wind through the forest, and a lookout provides amazing views of the surrounding area. The park also schedules special events throughout the summer, so be sure to check out what's happening while you're there!

Canines are welcome to stay at High Cliff State Park as long as they are kept on-leash at all times. There are even two picnic areas designated as dog-friendly, so your pupper doesn't have to stay cooped up on your campsite. The park asks that you never leave your woofer unattended and that you properly clean up all waste they leave behind.

For any wanting a camping vacation in Wisconsin, High Cliff State Park really does offer all the natural adventure you could want!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
