Jenny Ridge RV Park is situated in the southeastern part of Georgia and provides dog lovers with an outdoor oasis that you and your furry friend are sure to love.
In total, there are 55 RV sites with full hookup services (20, 30, or 50 amps). All sites are dog-friendly and come with a fire ring and picnic table. Sites are only $38.50 a night and can accommodate vehicles up to 100 feet long. Most sites are pull-through, with some back-ins available.
Not only does this campground have amenities aimed at maximizing your own personal comfort, but there are also a variety of perks for your pooch! Unlike many campgrounds, Jenny Ridge has a designated dog park where your pup can run off-leash and socialize. You are asked to bring proof of vaccinations and to keep your pup on a leash when outside of the park. The only other rule for you to follow is to clean up after your pooch.
If the dog park isn't enough for your pup, you can also venture along the nature trail that runs around and throughout the campground. The trail is groomed, so it's perfect for beginner hikers. It also provides ample opportunities for you and your pup to catch a glimpse of Georgia's diverse wildlife. Watch for bald eagles flying overhead or beautiful barred owls hiding amongst the trees. You may also see tree frogs, toads, and salamanders slithering through the foliage.
If you're interested in leaving the campground to explore nearby dog-friendly attractions, a must-visit is the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge not far from the campground. Dogs are allowed in the refuge, but be mindful of disrupting wildlife when visiting with your pooch. The refuge is home to endangered species including the red-cockaded woodpecker. It also has various trails for you and your pup to venture through.
Back at the campground, you can enjoy fishing at the pond located right within the grounds. Other activities for you to partake in include playing horseshoes, enjoying hosted events, and surfing the web on the campground's free wi-fi. Laundry facilities make packing light no problem, and the clean bathhouse adds comfort to your stay. Both propane and ice can be purchased at the main office.
Jenny Ridge is a dog lover’s favorite for camping -- when it comes to comfort, both you and your pooch are kept in mind.
