Head to Juniper Lake Group Campground and wake up to majestic views of Lassen Peak. The facility sits beside a recreational lake and is at the meeting point of the Sierra Nevadas, the Cascades, and the Great Basin. The entrance fee to Lassen Volcanic National Park is $25, and the nightly camping rate is $32. You can only use tents in this rustic site, and you'll need to bring drinking water or a purification system when you stay here. Each location has fire rings, picnic tables, and food lockers.Â
The group camp has two sites that can accommodate 10 to 15 people. If your group number is below than the minimum, you can use the neighboring facility. Go canoeing, fishing, hiking, or swimming here on the shores of Juniper Lake. The quiet mountain setting offers a puptastic place to explore the wilderness with your family or friends. Climb the Mt Harkness Trail to the fire tower and enjoy scenic views of the volcanic domes, mud pots, and steam vents in the area. Look for evidence of wilderness residents like red foxes, mule deer, woodpeckers, bald eagles, and peregrine falcons. The region also boasts a range of vibrant wildflowers.
You can bring your furry pal to the campsite, but they need to be on a leash and cannot join you on the trails or in the water. Never leave Fido unattended outside. You can secure them in your vehicle if you want to explore the wilderness. Always clean up after your special pal and dispose of their waste properly.
This campground is a furrific place to rough it with your friends and family. Enjoy brilliant starlit skies at night and the breathtaking views of towering mountain peaks by day. You need to reserve the group sites here at least four days ahead of your visit. Bears live in the area. Use the food lockers to store anything that could attract their attention.
