Description

Koreshan State Park is a beautiful, historic waterside park with a pawsitively amazing campground that welcomes pups on-leash. This campground has 60 campsites, and all of these campsites have electric hookups and water hookups. The daily rate for this puptastic campground is $26, in addition to the $5 entrance fee to the park. While you’re at Koreshan State Park’s campground, you’ll find tons of great things to do with your pup!

If you and your pup enjoy hiking together, Koreshan State Park is home to a beautiful 1.5-mile hiking trail. This trail takes you along the picturesque Estero River, which is a popular place for manatees to go in the winter. It’s also home to otters, alligators, and wading birds year-round. As you’re walking along the trail, you’ll also pass by the New Jerusalem Historic Village. This village features eleven buildings that date from 1882 to 1920. These buildings were used by the first settlers in the area, and they’re all on the National Register of Historic Places. You and your pup will both have a great time walking on this scenic and historic trail!

Koreshan State Park is also a good choice for anyone who enjoys being out on the water. If you’re bringing a boat, the campground has a boat ramp you can use. Many people also enjoy kayaking and canoeing on the Estero River. You can also try your luck fishing for freshwater and saltwater fish, including mullet, redfish, and snook.

At the end of the day, you and your pup can relax and enjoy the amenities at your campsite. Each campsite comes with its own fire ring where you can build a roaring fire. The campsites also have picnic tables where you can relax and enjoy a meal with your furry best friend.
