Description

Lake Glenada RV Park, also known as "The Most Relaxed Campground in Central Florida," is a 55-and-up park located in central Florida in a little city called Avon Park. Situated right around a lake, this RV park affords relaxation to those looking to get away for a little while or stay long-term.

Almost all of the RV sites have a view of Lake Glenada, and beyond the scenic vista, the amenities offered here are enough to keep campers returning year after year. Large, shady RV spaces with 30/50 amp service, full electric, water, and sewer hook-ups, and coin-operated laundry facilities are available. Self-storage lockers in multiple sizes for your convenience are easily accessible. There is also a heated pool and spa, shuffleboard and billiards, and planned activities like bingo. Regular daily rates are $45, but rates will change based on your length of stay.

Lake Glenada RV Park is pet-friendly, but pets must be on a 6-foot, non-retractable leash and are not allowed to be tethered outside. There is no overall restriction on breeds, but there is a 20-pound weight limit. Pets can be removed from the park for excessive barking, aggressive behavior, and biting.

While it is important to follow leash laws at all places where you bring your pets, remember that visiting nature in Florida brings with it extra dangers with the beauty. Lakes and trails in the state are often home to predators like alligators and rattlesnakes, and dangerous fire ants make their hills randomly, so the six-foot leash rule is important for Fido's safety.

For those nature-loving guests and their two-legged owners, there is plenty to keep your adventurous nose sniffing! Love the water? Take out your boat off of the boat dock or simply relax at the gazebo by the lake or the fish house. Want to enjoy the sunset? There are benches interspersed throughout the park so you can stop during your walk and enjoy the view. Looking for trails to hike? Try Highlands Hammock State Park, less than 15 minutes south in the next city of Sebring.

If you haven't stayed here yet, add it to your next vacation spot and you'll quickly see why Lake Glenada RV Park has earned its title!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
