The Lake Harmony RV Park and Campground is a public campground located in Townsend, Georgia. It provides 50 RV sites with full hookups, most of which are pull-through and offer lakeside views. The campground is located less than a mile away from a highway and is easily accessible. Since it is tucked away in a 60-acre wooded area, it provides patrons with a quiet and relaxing environment for some quality time with family and friends outdoors.
The dog-friendly campground is surrounded by old oak trees and towering pines, and it sits right by a beautiful, crystal-clear lake, making it the ideal location for water enthusiasts. From fishing for bluegill or bass, canoeing, and paddleboarding to swimming and lounging by the sandy, man-made beach, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The campground’s convenient location provides easy access to nearby must-visits, which include hiking trails that are perfect for bird watching and historical sites such as King George Fort, the Hofwyl Broadfield Plantation, and the Sapelo Island. A fishing license is not needed to fish at Lake Harmony.
There are 50 sites at the campground, all of which are level, spacious, and well-shaded. All sites have full hookups available (30 or 50 amp). Each site comes with a picnic table and a fire ring. The campground is also equipped with a clean, modern bathhouse with hot showers and flushing toilets, a laundry facility, RV storage, cable TV, and free wifi. Plus, patrons can rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats on-site and take advantage of the boat ramp.
Rates start at $39 per site, but there are great deals for weekly and monthly rates. Although there are cheaper campgrounds out there, what makes this one special is the offered amenities and the campground hosts, who will not only keep the facilities very well-maintained but will also welcome you, take you to your site when you arrive, and look after you throughout your entire stay. If you bring your pooch along, make sure they remain leashed at all times during their stay.
