Perhaps the best way to explore Lake Malone State Park is to take a stroll along one of its two hiking trails. The quarter-mile Wildflower Trail provides great views of rock walls that were once used as Native American shelters, while the 1.5-mile Laurel Trail offers slightly more challenging walking.

The Lake Malone State Park campground is open from May 15 to November 12 and features 25 standard electric sites and 34 primitive tent sites. Please note that while Kentucky state parks do not charge an admission fee, camping fees vary depending on the type of site you select. Tent sites start at $17 per night. Happily, the campground is pet-friendly, so your furry friend is more than welcome to stay with you.
