Lake Pines RV Park and Campground is a public campground and RV park located in Midland, Georgia. The cozy campground is surrounded by 20 acres of woodland and offers a relaxing countryside environment for both short and long-term stays. It is nestled among tall, mature pine trees, by a beautiful lake and neatly cut grass. The campground is pet-friendly, which means patrons can take their pooch along, whether it be for a weekend getaway or for a few weeks. Dogs must remain leashed and supervised at all times, and no pet pens or crates are allowed at the campground.Â
The campground has over 100 sites available for RV and tent camping. There are gravel sites, sites for big rigs, partially shaded and well-shaded sites, sites with full hookups (30 or 50 amp), pull-through sites, back-ins, and slideouts. The campground features a well-maintained bathhouse equipped with flushing toilets and hot showers, laundry facilities, and a group meeting room. There is also storage, a swimming pool, a horseshoe pit, a dump station, concrete patios, picnic tables, and free wifi. For dog owners, there is plenty of grassy space where you can walk your four-legged family members without worrying about bothering other campers. The sites are spacious but quite close to each other; this is especially evident during the busy seasons when the campground gets crowded.Â
The campground’s centerpiece is Lake Pines, a scenic lake that adds to the charming atmosphere, as does the barn and chapel on-site. Unfortunately, standing water also attracts mosquitoes, so make sure to pack some bug repellent. Catch-and-release fishing is permitted at the pond and does not require a license. Although there are walking trails nearby, they are quite short -- good enough for a morning walk with your canine companion but not long enough to be considered hiking trails.Â
RV site rates start at $40 per night, while tent sites are $24 per night.Â
