Description

If you're looking for a camping resort for you and Fido that guarantees scenic views of the unforgettable forested landscape in southeastern Kentucky, you're in luck! Laurel Lake Camping Retreat offers you just that within 87 acres of land sitting on the border of the Daniel Boone National Forest.

At Laurel Lake, all campers are welcome, including RVs or other motor vehicles, tent, and cabin campers. All 37 RV sites come with full hookup services, including electric (30 or 50 amps), water, and sewage. There are some pull-through sites available as well. Tent sites, on the other hand, are primitive, giving you an authentic outdoor experience. The deluxe cabins are for those looking for a more luxurious stay. Day passes are not available, but it's only $40 a night to camp at the grounds.

It's not specified whether or not you have to keep your pooch on a leash at all times, but it is expected that all pet owners tidy up any pet waste their pet makes, so don't forget your doggie bags! Be mindful of all guests in the park and prevent your pup from visiting other sites or barking excessively. The resort is only minutes away from its namesake, Laurel Lake, which is over 5,000 acres in size with approximately 200 miles of shoreline to explore with your pup.

The lake isn't the only natural beauty you'll have access to at Laurel Lake Camping Retreat. Cumberland Falls, known as the "Niagara of the South" because of its natural beauty, is only a short car ride away. The falls are located within Cumberland Falls State Park. In the park, there are over 17 miles of trails for you and your pooch to explore, but dogs are not permitted on the trails found within the McCreary County section of the park.

Back at the campground, you'll find a variety of amenities and activities to meet your needs! Seasonal events and activities are held for you and your family to enjoy. The area is also quite pawpular with anglers. Perks of the park include cable and wireless internet on every campsite.

With so much to see and do, you and your doggo are sure to have a furrific time!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
