Description

The scenic beauty of Vermont has immortalized in a campground tucked away in a tree-scaped, rural setting on the shores of a crystal, mirrored lake.

The only sound you’ll hear at Limehurst Lake Campground is a happy camper’s laughter and birds chattering in the green, leafy trees. The camp is a peaceful haven where vacation fun is kayaking or paddle boating on the lake. The beach is for campers only, so there’s plenty of room to cast a line or sunbathe on the sand.

This is relaxed living as RVs take a spot on the grass and get connected to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer. There’s a mix of open and shaded sites with pull-through and back-in access at a daily rate of $50. Wifi is available throughout the park.

A picnic table and fire ring feature on all sites with gated security for camper safety. You have to pass through a trailer park on the way to this lakeside paradise, where folks can pitch a tent under the trees for $30 a day.

Limehurst Lake Campground is a heavenly hideaway with rustic cabins that feature bunks for the kids and a full-size bed for mom and dad. Homely comforts include a microwave, TV, and fridge for a nightly rate of $69. The camp boasts a classic lean-to, plus the opportunity to hire a park trailer that sleeps a family of six.

Kids have a blast at the lake with a Herculean water slide and playground for junior fun. The grown-ups get to enjoy horseshoes, shuffleboard, and a games room with swimming in the appealing lake.

Restrooms, showers, and a laundry are always clean, plus there’s a camp store with a snack bar and supplies. Camping is a family affair and that includes man’s best friend. A dog park lets them play off-leash, but anywhere else, they need to be leashed and supervised at all times. Owners are required to supply litter bags and dispose of their pet's waste. They will also need to present rabies vaccination records at check-in. Sadly, pooches are not allowed on the beach, but hiking trails around the lake make the best doggy walks.

Create a base camp at Limehurst Lake Campground, where the good times never end. Peak times are from May through to October, so make sure you book in advance.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
