Description

Get up close to 100 Giants with your favorite pooch by your side! Limestone Campground lets visitors camp among the Sequoia National Forest on the Upper Kern River. While here, you can enjoy the rugged terrain and beautiful views that surround the site.

Limestone is composed of 19 paved camping sites, which are generally too small for trailers or RVs. Each lot comes with its own fire ring, grill, and picnic table, and there is drinking water on-site. You won't be stuck in the sun here, as the trees that spread through the grounds provide filtered light to the sites below. There are no hookups on offer here, and the grounds ask that you do not bring off-road vehicles into the premises. If the area is experiencing especially dry weather, fire bans may be in place, so please check before you start a campfire!

The Upper Kern River that runs beside the site is perfect for whitewater rafting, but swimming is not recommended due to the strong currents. Kayakers frequent the river, so if you have your own kayak, you may want to bring it along. The famous Sequoia National Park Trail of 100 Giants is close by, allowing you and your pup to spend the day in awe at some of the world's most amazing trees. There are also some impressive waterfalls located in the park that are definitely worth checking out during your stay.

While at the campground, please keep your pooch on-leash at all times to respect the other campers, along with the wildlife. Bring poop bags with you wherever you go so that cleanups are easy -- and don't worry, they have trash collection at Limestone, so you won't be holding on to anything nasty for long!

If you've always wanted to check out this incredible area for yourself, pack up your woofer and give Limestone Campground a try.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
