Utah is known for its great outdoors scene, and staying at Little Cottonwood Campground is one of the best ways to experience it. The campground is easy to reach because it is only a short distance from I-15, but once you’re there, you’ll forget your worries and become completely immersed in nature. Little Cottonwood has an amazing setting: it sits beside Beaver River in Fishlake National Forest, and as you travel through the area you can see beautiful mountains in the distance. One of the campground’s best features is that it is dog-friendly, so you can bring your canine companion along with you!
Little Cottonwood is composed of fourteen sites, and each site can accommodate up to eight campers. The sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, and they rest on a paved surface that can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. You can also find drinking water at the campground.
You’ll definitely enjoy spending time at your campsite surrounded by cottonwood, aspen, and pine trees. But you might want to venture out and enjoy some of the awesome outdoor recreation sites nearby. One option you have is heading to Beaver River for fishing; the river even has an accessible fishing path. If you like hiking, you should check out Cottonwood Trail — you can access it from the lower section of Cottonwood Campground. This trail runs through Horse Flat, and it’s a great way to stretch your legs and see some of the diverse wildlife that inhabits the region.
There are some things you should take into consideration when you’re staying at Little Cottonwood Campground. Note that while the campground can accommodate RVs, it does not have hookups for them. Also remember that your dog must remain on-leash at all times, and don’t forget to clean up after your dog as well.
