Little Manatee River State Park

Little Manatee River State Park encompasses over 2000 acres of land, making it an ideal outdoor getaway location in Florida. The campground itself runs along Little Manatee River, which is a 40-mile, popular waterway in Florida that eventually empties into Tampa Bay.

There are countless things to do while inside Little Manatee River State Park. For starters, if you're looking to learn more about the area and its wildlife, check out the programs being offered at the Amphitheater on a regular basis. You can also enjoy a variety of water activities on the river including kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and boating. Because you're camping right inside a state park, there are also numerous trails for you to explore with your pooch. Horseback riding and biking are permitted on the trails as well.

The non-primitive camping area contains a loop of 30 campsites that are ideal for RV and tent campers. All sites come with water and electric hookups, which can accommodate 20, 30, and 50 amps. All campsites have a fire-ring and picnic table for guests to use. Conveniently located in the center of the sites is a bathhouse facility where you can enjoy a hot shower and the use of flush toilets. A laundry room is also located beside the bathhouse but requires coins to be operated. There is a dump station that you can use at your own convenience. The campground is wheelchair accessible, with three sites that have sidewalks that lead directly to the bathhouse for safe traveling. These specific sites are pet-friendly, so you can bring your pooch with you on your vacation. The campground has pet disposal bags conveniently located at the park entrance beside the pet walk area. Dogs are not permitted in any building and must stay on a leash 6 feet in length or shorter. Please note that there are also primitive campsites available in the state park, but these sites are not pet-friendly.
