Loon Lake Recreation Site is located in Reedsport, Oregon. At this campground, both RV and tent camping is permitted in different areas. There are no electrical, water, or sewer hookups, but there are places for RVs to park. There is no Wi-Fi available either. Reservations can be made for campsites online or via phone.
Camping areas are located near flushing toilets. There are picnic areas in the campgrounds as well as a playground for kids. While in the campground, many guests enjoy spending time out on Loon Lake. With a boat ramp nearby, visitors can get their boats out on the lake with ease for cruising, water sports, and fishing. Kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing, and swimming are also options in the lake.
Fishers can either fish via boat or on the dock. With more than 250 acres of lake, there are plenty of fish for all of the fishers in the area.
Dogs are allowed in the camping area, but not in the day-use area. If you want to bring your dog to Loon Lake Recreation Site, be sure that you are following the rules for where they are and are not allowed. All pet owners are also required to clean up after their pets. While the rules of the camping area say nothing about leashing your pet, make sure that your pet is well-behaved and not bothering other guests. If you think there will be a problem, make sure to keep your pooch on a leash.
There is a sandy beach area near the lake that campers can enjoy. Be cautious, as there may be areas where dogs are not allowed. The amphitheater in the campgrounds often hosts shows and educational programs for guests, so check that out for some entertainment! In the area near the lake, there are other entertainment options such as hiking and tide-pooling. Guests often love wildlife and bird watching in this area as well.
