Interested in camping in the Hood River, Oregon area? If so, Lost Lake Resort and Campground has "off-furs" that you and your pooch won't be able to resist. The only rules you need to follow when bringing your pup along with you is to tidy up after them and ensure they're well-behaved and under control at all times. Dogs are also expected to wear leashes no longer than six feet.Â
For day use of the facility, there's a $9 entrance fee. There are two separate day-use areas, one in the north section of the campground and one in the south. Both give you access to the lake. If you're interested in staying for longer than a day, there are a variety of accommodation types available to meet your needs, with just under 150 campsites available.Â
Tent sites and vehicle sites are offered, beginning at only $27 per night. Tent sites range from a forest location to perching right on the lakeshore, giving guests unlimited access to dazzling sunsets over the water. Vehicle sites for RVs, pop-ups, and other campers are also available. There is an RV dump station as well as a fill station for guests to use, but there are no hookups available for water, electricity, or sewage.Â
Camping at Lost Lake is the âpaw-fectâ opportunity for you and your pup to "ruff" it. Campfire rings can be found in select locations, but they're not on every site. Lodges, cabins, and yurts are also available for a more modern experience, but dog restrictions do apply. Only some cabins are dog-friendly, such as Cabin 1, so be sure to specify when making your reservation.Â
When it comes to ways to spend your day, you and your pup won't be disappointed. At Lost Lake, the most popular activities for campers are based around the water. On the lake, you can enjoy a variety of water activities, including swimming, fishing, and boating. The lake is well-stocked with trout, making it ideal for anglers. A boat ramp is conveniently located within the campground for guest's use. There are also trails mapped out around the campground. The routes include two miles of ADA accessible pathways, which are perfect for novice hikers looking for a smooth walk with their pup. Other amenities at Lost Lake include a campground store where you can find both supplies and boat rentals.Â
Overall, Lost Lake Resort and Campground not only provides campers with lakefront sites, but its secluded location is âpaw-fectâ for those looking to escape busy city life and find peace and serenity in the Oregon outdoors.Â
