Description

Set beside Wilson Lake in the expansive plains of central Kansas, Lucas Park Campground is one of the state’s best destinations for tent and RV camping. Better yet, it is a dog-friendly campground, so you and your four-legged friend can spend time together enjoying its many pawesome features and exploring some of the furrific activities in the region!

Guests remark that the owners of the campground are kind and accommodating. The campground has 98 campsites that allow for a diverse array of camping styles. There are eight-person single sites that range in price from $14 to $28, and there is also a large group site that costs $225 per night. Some of the amenities at Lucas Park Campground include a playground, a dump station, and even a boat ramp for accessing the reservoir.

The stunning adjacent lake is the main recreation site near the campground, and there, you can enjoy many different aquatic activities, including fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. Anglers can find different types of bass and catfish in the lake’s clear waters, which are up to 65 feet deep in some places! If you’re looking for some land-based activities, try heading over to Rock Town Trail with your waggy friend. This trail welcomes dogs on-leash, and it is a relatively easy loop trail. It provides scenic views of the neighboring lake and nearby sandstone rock formations, and it takes about 1 to 3 hours to hike the whole loop.

Please keep your furry friend leashed at all times throughout your stay at Lucas Park. Also remember to clean up after your dog. You can bring your RV to the campground, but note that the campground does not have 50 amp electrical hookups.

You and your canine companion will have a great time at Lucas Park Campground, and you’ll see why so many campers choose to stay there every season!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
