The daily fee for this pawsitively amazing campground is $14.00 for nonelectric sites and $16.00 for electric sites.

If you’re hoping to spend your camping trip out on the water, Michigan Valley is a great choice. The campground is adjacent to the North Shore Marina, which offers a boat ramp. Michigan Valley also has a pawesome fishing dock where you can try your luck catching walleyes, Channel catfish, and crappies. There’s also a beach and swimming area at the campground — pups will have to sit this activity out, though, since they aren’t allowed on the beach.

Michigan Valley is also close to three furrific hiking trails that welcome dogs. If you’d like to go for a short walk around Pomona Lake, check out the 0.38-mile Deer Creek Nature Trail or the 0.74-mile Witches’ Broom Trail. If you’re looking for a longer trek, hop on the 33-mile Black Hawk Loop Trail. This trail takes you through the hills and forest and around Pomona Lake, and it also takes you past numerous beautiful creeks. As you’re walking, you may get to see some of the area’s native wildlife, including bald eagles, wild turkeys, and white-tailed deer.

After your day’s adventures are over, relax and enjoy Michigan Valley’s many amenities. Each campsite comes with its own fire ring, a scenic picnic table, and a lantern holder. At the end of the day, you and your pup can relax next to your roaring fire and enjoy looking at the stars.

Michigan Valley is a fun-filled campground that has tons to offer water lovers and hikers. Remember to bring doggy bags so you can clean up after your dog during your trip, and enjoy camping here!
