Located in the Uinta National Forest, Mill Hollow is a beautiful campground filled with amenities you and your dog will both love! This campground has 26 shady sites, and many of these sites offer great views of the nearby Mill Hollow Reservoir. Dogs are welcome to join you in this campground on-leash. The daily fee at the campground is $21.00 a night.
If you and your dog love hiking together, there are two trailheads in Mill Hollow. If you’re looking for a short and scenic hike, try the one-mile Lakeshore Trail. This trail takes you around the lovely Mill Hollow Reservoir. If you want to take a longer hike with your pup, hop on the three-mile Mill Hollow Trail. This trail takes you past the reservoir and through a picturesque wooded area.
Mill Hollow is also just a short drive from Soapstone Basin, which is home to a 33-mile loop trail. This trail takes you up steep inclines and past scenic fields filled with wildflowers. Soapstone Basin is also a popular place to go off-road driving and mountain biking.
Mill Hollow also has plenty to offer water lovers. You can go kayaking or canoeing in Mill Hollow Reservoir, or you can try your luck fishing. The reservoir is home to a variety of freshwater fish, including rainbow trout and albino trout.
After you’ve finished your adventures for the day, you and your pup can relax and enjoy Mill Hollow’s amenities. When you get hungry, you can grill burgers or hot dogs for you and your pup at your campsite’s charcoal grill. Each campsite also comes with a fire ring and a picnic table where you can relax and enjoy the views of the forest and the reservoir.
