Description

Minooka Park Campground boasts a furrific location in the heart of Kansas. It is a fantastic spot where you can camp out with your dog beside the clear waters of Wilson Lake, a scenic reservoir that covers over 9,000 acres. You’ll enjoy direct access to the lake, as well as the campground’s well-kept amenities and the region’s dog-friendly outdoor activities. You and your pooch will have a wagtastic time exploring everything Minooka Park and its surrounding areas have to offer!

You’ll find a staggering number of campsites at Minooka Park — 159 to be exact. The simplest sites are standard nonelectric and cost $14 per night. There are also a electric, electric and water, and electric double sites available for $18, $20, and $40 respectively. You can also reserve a large group site for $200 per night. With all these options to choose from, you can be sure to find something that suits your camping style. All of the sites come equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Other amenities clean restrooms, a dump station, and a boat ramp.

There are some pawesome outdoor activities near the campground — Wilson Lake is a great place to boat, fish, or swim. You can also find a pleasant trail on the north side of the lake called Rock Town Trail. This 2.5-mile loop is considered an easy hike, making it pawfect for your daily walk! Careful, though — while the trail is short, it does feature some challenging terrain and steep inclines. 

When you’re staying at Minooka Park Campground, remember that your canine companion needs to be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your dog as well. If you play on boating at Wilson Lake, you will need to purchase a day pass for the boat ramp from the campground’s pay station. Motorized watercraft is permitted on the lake as well.
