Moutardier Campground is one of southern Kentucky’s best campgrounds and the perfect spot for your next camping trip! It rests beside Nolin River Lake, one of the state’s top destinations for camping and aquatic activities. You can bring your dog with you to Moutardier Campground, so you can be sure your camping trip will be a pawesome one!
Moutardier Campground features 167 Fido-approved campsites. Nonelectric sites are available for $15 and $19 per night, and sites with electric hookups are available for $25. Sites come with picnic tables, fire pits, and tent pads, and on the premises, you'll also find picnic shelters and a playground. Water and sewer hookups are also available for RVs.
You’d be barking mad not to explore some of the area’s great activities while you’re camping at Moutardier! You can head to Nolin River Lake to enjoy kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and more. The lake can be easily accessed from the campground’s boat ramp and fishing pier.Â
If you’re interested in hiking, you'll also find plenty of trails in the region. Nolin Lake Trail, as its name suggests, sits right beside the lake; it's a 2.5-mile out-and-back trail that welcomes leashed furry friends. Wax Campground Trail is another fun trail to explore, and it spans just under two miles, making it a furrific option for your doggo's daily walk. If you’re feeling adventurous, you and your woofer can head south to Mammoth Cave National Park. There, you’ll find Raymer Hollow Trail, a seven-mile, moderate trail that features scenic stream crossings and breathtaking views of the area’s waterfalls.
While you’re camping at Moutardier, remember that your dog has to remain on a leash under 6 feet long and must be attended to at all times. Also, be sure to clean up after your pooch. Please note that fireworks and alcohol are prohibited at the campground.
