Oak Tree Village Campground and MHP Park is a 46-acre, dog-friendly campground located in Ocala, Florida. In addition to partial and full hookup RV sites, the campground offers affordable apartments. With both short and long-term stays available, this campground is a great all-round location for temporary housing, whether you just need a weekend away from the city life, you're traveling across the country, or need a few weeks or months to regroup without breaking the bank.
The campground offers water and electricity hookups (20 amp, 30 amp or 50 amp) and sewer connections at most of its sites. All sites are padded, and the majority of them are surrounded by tall, mature trees that guarantee an ample amount of shade. There are water fill-up stations, a bathhouse with flush toilets and hot showers, a laundry facility that is open 24 hours, and a clubhouse. There is also wifi, a swimming pool, and most importantly, a fenced dog park! This means that dogs can not only accompany their owners at all times while leashed but also get their daily dose of leash-free exercise and fun without leaving the campground. Although pooches can roam free at the dog park, they still need to remain supervised and cleaned up after by their pet parents, so make sure to have a waste bag on you at all times.
The campground is conveniently located by numerous restaurants and nearby attractions, including various springs such as Alexander Springs, Rainbow Springs, Juniper Springs, or Salt Springs, as well as lakes which include Doe Lake, Dorr Lake, and the Clearwater Lake. There are plenty of places to see and outdoor activities the camp’s patrons can participate in. For those who enjoy hiking, make sure to check out the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway and the Yearling Trail. On a more relaxed day, stay at the campground to enjoy its pool, shuffleboard, playground of baseball court with your family or friends.
Although the campground is dog-friendly, it is limited to dogs under 40 pounds. Aggressive breeds are not allowed either, and according to the campground’s website, these include the following: pit bulls, chows, Rottweilers, Doberman pinschers, as well as any other canines deemed aggressive by the campground staff.
Daily rates start from $38 per RV site.
