Pelican RV Resort & Marina

If you’re looking for some fun in the sun, the Florida Keys are a popular tourist destination year-round. With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Florida Bay/Atlantic Ocean on the other, Marathon, Florida is pretty close to paradise. The Pelican RV Resort boasts 300 feet of secluded beachfront property along the coast of the Florida Bay. The waterfront resort offers private access to the beaches along the premises. Tiki huts are placed sporadically throughout the sandy beaches for shade and convenience.

The Pelican Resort offers RV hookup sites and also doubles as a motel for those who wish to stay in a room instead of an RV. The amenities available include a heated swimming pool, fishing, and a picnic area in the seaside pavilion. During the busy seasons, there are many planned activities for the community, including bingo and movie nights.

At this pet-friendly resort, dogs have a vast choice of land to romp and play on. While they may not be allowed on the beaches, there is a dog park within the resort for their enjoyment. There is also a dog-friendly beach just a short 5-minute drive away at the Sunset Bay Park on Grassy Key if Fido is heart-set on swimming.

There are 85 full-service RV hook-up sites at the Pelican Resort. Each site includes a private picnic table and a concrete patio. The motel rooms are recently remodeled and each has refrigerators, microwaves, and, of course, air-conditioning. (It is Florida, after all!)

If the novelty of being in the Florida Keys isn’t enough for you, there are many local attractions that will satisfy you. You can dive with the dolphins, snorkel, and scuba dive. If water just isn’t your thing, there are several golf courses in the area, not to mention the gift shops and unique local shops.
