Petersburg Campground is a year-round campground, so you can plan your visit for whenever is most convenient for you. You can also bring your dog along with you since the campground is pet-friendly. You’re sure to love the campground’s scenic setting — it sits beside the calm lake, surrounded by shade trees, making it an ideal environment for relaxing and experiencing Georgia’s wonderful backcountry.
The campground is rather large, with 94 sites available. There are different kinds of sites you can choose from, so you’re sure to find something that suits your camping style. The sites have different nightly fees: a standard nonelectric site is $18; a standard electric site is either $24 or $26; and a group shelter nonelectric site is $50.
The campground offers several amenities to increase the quality of your stay. They include picnic tables and shelters, showers, campfire rings, hookups for water and electricity, a boat ramp for the lake, and more. There are also some convenient services at the campground, like trash collection and laundry facilities.
While you camp at Petersburg, you should definitely check out some of the area’s outdoor activities. The adjacent lake is a great place to boat, fish, or swim.
