Description

Rancheria Campground is the largest campground in the Huntington Lake area of central California. It is part of the Sierra National Forest, which spans over one million acres near the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The campground is a fantastic destination for all kinds of campers; its wonderful setting makes for a memorable camping experience, and its location is perfect for exploring the great outdoors. You can even bring your dog with you as the campground is pet-friendly!

The first thing you will notice when you arrive at the campground is the breathtaking view of Huntington Lake. The campground sits on the eastern side of the lake, and it is surrounded by majestic fir and pine trees. There are 125 campsites on the premises, but you should note that not all of them have a view of the lake.

At the campground, you will have access to numerous amenities including grills, campfire rings, picnic tables, piped water, and even an amphitheater. And you’ll have plenty of activities to choose from if you’re looking for something fun to do during your stay. The most obvious choice is heading to Huntington Lake, where you can partake in various aquatic activities like swimming, boating, and fishing. You could also visit one of the nearby hiking trails for a walk through nature. Some of the best trails nearby are Rancheria Falls, Indian Pools, and Black Point.

To make the most out of your camping trip, you will want to consider a few things in advance. Remember that a single site is $30 per night, a double site is $60, and a group site is $90. You should also be bear aware and make sure any food you have is stored and disposed of safely.

You and your pooch will have a pawesome time camping on Huntington Lake at Rancheria Campground, and you’ll see why so many campers keep coming back every season!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
