Description

Camp outside of Yellowstone Park in another slice of nature heaven at Red Cliff Campground. Discover the Gallatin Canyon with your favorite pooch by your side and rest your head by the Gallatin River. This campground offers the perfect outdoor experience while also being close to national attractions and necessary amenities.

Red Cliff is made up of 61 campsites, some of which offer electricity. No matter what style of site you chose, the nightly fee is $15. You'll find some of the sites are situated between trees, offering decent privacy, while others are located out in a meadow. The roads going through the grounds are gravel, as are the parking spurs. Each site comes with its own picnic table and campfire ring, and drinking water is available on-site for your convenience.

This canyon offers all kinds of amazing adventures for campers. Get out on the water and canoe, kayak, and raft your days away, or cast a line and try your luck at catching trout and whitefish. Hit the hiking trails with your woofer at your side at the Elkhorn Creek Trail, the entrance of which is found on the grounds. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of bighorn sheep, mountain goats, or bald eagles during your stay. To top it all off, the close proximity to Yellowstone National Park makes for incredible day trips to one of this nation's top outdoor destinations.

As mentioned, pooches are definitely allowed at Red Cliff Campground. While the regulations on leash rules are unclear, we recommend keeping your pupper close, as there are black bears, grizzlies, wolves, and coyotes in the canyon. To decrease the chance of having one of these predators on your site, pack up all food and toiletries in vehicles and dispose of your doggo's waste and all other garbage in appropriate places.

For an adventure out into the wilds on Montana, look no further than Red Cliff Campground!
