Experience the breathtaking, scenic charm of Red Gate Campground and RV Park, a storybook setting where vacation dreams are made a reality. Picture a perfectly manicured field of grass with pristine gravel sites and decorative palm trees swaying in a Savannah breeze as your next getaway. RVers can slide onto a level site with easy pull-through or back-in entry and get connected to electricity (20/30/50 amp), water, and sewer, with access to the internet available at the resort clubhouse.

A picnic table and fire grill feature on all sites, with breathing space for the bigger rigs and plenty of room to slide out your awning. The daily rate is $40 to $64. An army base nearby sees helicopters fly overhead, and you might hear trains chugging in the distance, but neither deflects from this country paradise where the amicable hosts go the extra mile.

All-star amenities include clean restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility. A saltwater swimming pool, picturesque fishing lakes, a snazzy playground for the children and quarter horses are fun extras you can enjoy during your stay.

The horses share this palatial landscape with ducks and goats, much to the delight of camping kids who can learn to ride at the resort. Mom and Dad will enjoy friendly games of horseshoes and volleyball or some time out on the swings as the sun sets over the lake.

The family pooch is in for tail-wagging fun with wide open spaces to explore and new scents to sniff. There are no size or breed restrictions, only a standard on-leash policy, as horses and farm animals may not get on with city and suburban pups. Guardians are asked to pick up their woofer's waste.

Catch the trolley that stops outside the resort and head for the sensational city of Savannah, taking in notable, historic buildings, including the Telfair Art Museum with monumental statues of famous artists including Rembrandt and Michelangelo. This sets the tone for a city where the past is always on show. Floyd Park is a dog-walking nirvana with a 150-year-old fountain highlighting the romanticism of Savannah, a city with soul.

Book a site at Red Gate Campground and RV Park for a stress-free vacation in the "Hostess City of the South".
