River Park RV Park

Located off the I-75 Interstate in Valdosta, Georgia, the River Park RV Park is an RV campground for guests 55 years or older.  Just 18 miles from the Florida-Georgia state line, this park features 122 shaded RV hookup sites and a dedicated area for tent camping.  RV sites start at $40 per night and picnic tables can be found at quite a few sites.

The picturesque landscape has a multitude of trees and hedges that help block the traffic noises coming from the highway.  There are several grocery stores and restaurants conveniently located on the other side of the interstate. The RV park doesn’t have a pool or playground, but it does offer free Wi-Fi and cable.  There are also newly renovated bathroom facilities, including a bathhouse for hot showers.

The River Park RV Park is super dog-friendly!  Fido should be kept on a leash unless in the fenced off-leash dog area.  Your dog will have an abundance of trees and bushes to choose from to mark their territory.  

If you and Fido are up for a road trip, Savannah is three hours away and has a riverfront area at River Street that is extremely dog-friendly and offers amazing river views.  Whether you stay in Valdosta or take a day trip to Savannah, you and your dog will enjoy the beautiful weather Georgia has year-round.

If you prefer to stay locally and are looking for activities to do without your furry companion, the Wild Adventures Theme Park is just five miles from the park and has hundreds of exotic animals.  If you enjoy watching the races, the South Georgia Motorsports racetrack is a mere 14 miles away.
