Riverdale Farm Campsites

Riverdale Farm Campsite in Clinton, Connecticut, is a family-friendly campground that promises a true countryside experience. Situated between the Hammonasset River and a winding country road, it offers spacious campsites and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

It is a big campground, with 250 total spaces including mixed seasonal and regular sites. Most spots are grass sites, but some gravel and dirt ones are available too. 100 sites are full hook-up with 50- or 30-amp electricity, with the exclusion of the sites located on the riverfront which do not have sewer hook-ups. Each site has a fireplace and a picnic table. Other amenities on the grounds include restrooms and hot showers, a laundromat, dumping station, and LP gas.

The spring-fed pond located on the campgrounds is great for swimming and relaxing. While the children’s playgrounds located near the entrance keep kids entertained, the recreational courts right next to them take care of adults – you can choose between basketball and tennis. The softball and volleyball courts are near the Hy-Line rental unit. There’s a recreational hall with ping pong, pool, and video games on the premises too.

The campground is close to several attractions: those who enjoy shopping will find the Clinton Outlets only a few miles away, while wine connoisseurs can taste the Estate Reserve wines made in the Chamard Vineyards in Clinton. The Indian River Marina offers canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals. The Hammonasset Beach State Park is popular for strolls, swimming, surfing, or just relaxing.

Pets are welcome to Riverdale Farm Campsite but there are some ground rules to follow: all pets must be leashed to avoid disturbing other campers and to ensure they don’t get separated from their owners. Pets are not allowed into the swimming pond. You must bring your own pet supplies and poop bags and clean up after your pooch so the grounds are always tidy.
