The campground has ten sites, and it rests in a forest above the North Yuba River. You can find a number of amenities at the campground that will enhance your camping experience, such as picnic tables, campfire rings, piped water, and vault toilets. If you are looking for some activities to fill your time, you’ll have plenty of options within a short distance of the campground. Hiking is available on the North Yuba Trail, and one of its trailheads connects to the campground. You can also head to the North Yuba River, which is a popular spot for swimming, fishing, and kayaking.

When you’re planning your trip to Rocky Rest Campground, keep in mind that the daily fee is $24 per site, and there is an additional fee of $5 for each extra vehicle you bring. Remember that you are in an active bear zone, so food should be safely stored in lockers and disposed of properly. Dogs must be kept on-leash at all times, and also note that sometimes campfires are restricted due to hot or dry weather conditions.
