Dreaming of a mountain getaway but unsure where to stay? Leash up your pack and head off to Rocky Top Campground and RV Park in Bloutsville, Tennessee for a taste of the laid-back mountain life!
Rocky Top Campground is a friendly, family-owned RV park right in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. The crisp mountain air and thick forest foliage create the sense of being hundreds of miles from city life, but in reality, there are quite a few bustling tourist attractions just a bone's throw away! Bristol Motor Speedway is just 12 miles from the campground, making it an excellent lodging option for race-goers, and Dollywood Theme Park, Gatlinburg, and Knoxville Zoo are all less than 2 hours away! Those who want to stay close to their motorhome can enjoy some outdoor recreation such as kayaking, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
We at Wag! love the fact that this campground imposes no breed or size restrictions on pets, unlike many RV resorts. Do your part to keep the campground fur-iendly by picking up after your pooches and keeping them leashed while sniffing out the scenery.
The grounds feature hot showers, flushing toilets, and a general store stocked with groceries, firewood, and RV supplies. Although this campground may not have luxury amenities such as spas, cocktail bars, and extravagant golf courses, your pack won't be left wanting for any of the necessities.
You can rest assured the rates won't break the bank, with nightly rates averaging $41.50 for up to six guests! RV sites include 20/30/50 amp power, water, and sewer, as well as cable TV. Wifi is available also, though guests who plan on gaming or streaming will need to invest in a personal hotspot.
The campground is open year-round, but it is best enjoyed in mid-fall when the trees are their most colorful. While Rocky Top Campground and RV Park may not be for everyone, those who give it a chance may just find a piece of themselves in the serene wilderness.
