Description

Ruby Valley Campground and RV Park is a privately owned campground situated in Alder, Montana. The campground’s central and easily accessible location offers the perfect place for a family vacation or a convenient pit stop if you're just passing through. Here, you get to spend your days biking through the Nevada City ghost town with your buddies, visiting the living history museum with your family, or hiking by Alder Creek with your canine companion by your side. Too active? Sit back and savor the fresh air of Ruby Valley or fish the many trout-filled streams nearby. Whichever activity you and your family decide to enjoy, you will have a memorable time at Ruby Valley Campground and RV Park.

The grassy campground offers stunning views of the Ruby, Tobacco Root, and Gravelly mountain ranges and is surrounded by gorgeous hardwoods. The campground consists of several camping areas, including two that offer 50 amp full-service hookups, one loop for 30 amp full-service hookups, a tent-only section, and a group camping area. There are cozy cabins available as well, two of which sit by the pond among the tent sites while the other three are in the wooded part of the campground. Sites start at $38 per night.

The family-oriented campground is filled with activities and amenities for both adults and kids to enjoy, from volleyball and basketball courts to organized crafts, horseshoes, and grass-covered playgrounds. The campground is also equipped with free WiFi, a laundry facility that is open 24 hours, a dog walking area, and a camp store with everything from snacks and drinks to firewood, bait, and ice.

If that wasn’t enough, there is a private fishing lake stocked with trout and several nearby fishing areas that anglers will be happy to discover, including the Madison, Beaverhead, and Ruby rivers. If you visit, make sure to stop by the Red Rock Mine, where you can pan for gold and maybe even find some cool garnets or gemstones. Virginia City, another of Montana's famous ghost towns, is also under eight miles away.

If you are searching for a relaxing retreat in a beautiful mountain setting, Ruby Valley Campground and RV Park might just be the place for you and your furry family member!
