Shell Creek RV Resort

Shell Creek is an RV resort in Punta Gorda, Florida specifically designed for adults over 55 to have a peaceful and comfortable getaway. In addition to their 235 RV sites, they also have vacation rentals, and they facilitate short and long-term stays. The resort sits on the banks of Shell Creek, and it features a 24-slip marina and boat launch so you can enjoy the water. When you're not out on the water, you can enjoy a variety of activities on land around the resort. Your dog can come along for the fun at this pet-friendly resort, but make sure they're on a leash if they're not in your vehicle. When your dog needs some off-leash adventures, there's a pet area for them to run and play in.

Each RV site has either 30 or 50-amp hookups, and guests can choose from gravel, dirt, paved, or grassy sites, as well as back-in or pull-through options. The resort can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet, and most of them have a picnic table. Guests can purchase ice, propane, and other supplies at the resort, and there's a coin laundry, a mail center, and on-site storage as well. There are clean and spacious restrooms at Shell Creek complete with hot showers, and there's also a pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy.

To keep you busy during your stay, you'll have access to a clubhouse, covered pavilion, game room, library, and a fitness center. You can also try your hand at horseshoes, bocce ball, and shuffleboard, or kayak or fish on the water. Just a short drive from the resort, you'll find the Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens Tampa, Lakes Regional Park, and other fun activities.

Shell Creek is busiest in the winter when snowbirds escape the cold weather in their hometowns, so if you're looking for a quieter campground, summer is the best time to visit.
