The Silver Lake Campground in Brooksville, Florida is located within the Withlacoochee State Forest, just five miles off of I-75. The campground sits on the shores of Silver Lake, and it's directly across from the Silver Lake Day-Use Area and near all sorts of exciting outdoor adventures. Leashed pets are welcome to accompany their owners on their trip the Silver Lake Campground, and you and your dog will have access to all of the amenities you need for a great camping trip.
There are 34 campsites at Silver Lake Campground, 23 of which have water and electric hookups, as well as 30 and 50 amp hookups. All campsites at Silver Lake Campground are surrounded by trees, but there isn't much shade directly over where your RV will be parked or where your tent is set up. Each site comes with a fire grate or grill and a picnic table, and one RV or up to two tents is permitted per site. There's also a dump station on-site, as well as a convenient restroom and shower facilities. You can also fill up your dog's water bowl and your own water bottle with drinking water on-site. The day-use area is available to rent, and it has a well-appointed pavilion perfect for family gatherings.
Within one mile of your campsite, you'll find rivers and streams where you can fish or swim, trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and dog walking. Less than ten miles from the campground, you'll find amenities like gas, groceries, a medical clinic, restaurants, golfing, boat rentals, and much more.
Hunting is not permitted within the Silver Lake Campground, but it is allowed within the park. If you plan on venturing outside of your campground to any of the trails or other outdoor activities, you are advised to wear orange blaze clothing during hunting season, and always keep your dog on a leash on the trails to keep them safe, too.
