Sky Mountain Resort RV Park

Located within the quaint village of Chama, New Mexico is Sky Mountain Resort RV Park. This park is designed with amenities to meet the needs of all campers, including those with four paws!

Sky Mountain is a dog-friendly campground with a maximum of two pups per site. There are no fees for your pooch, and there's both a large and small dog park for Fido to run around off-leash. The fenced dog park is also pawfect for socializing with other pups and owners. Keep in mind that when you're outside of the dog area, or your own vehicle, your pooch is to remain on a leash at all times. You're also expected to clean up after them in a timely manner and manage their behavior.

Though the campground is dog-friendly, there are, unfortunately, restrictions on breeds. Restricted breeds include: 

• Doberman Pinscher
• American Bulldog
• Fila Brasileiro
• Tosa Ken
• Malamute
• Czechoslovakian Wolfdog
• Bloodhound
• Neapolitan Mastiff
• Presa Canario
• Pit Bull
• Perro de Presa Mallorquin
• German Shepherd 
• Rottweiler

This campground is for RV camping only -- tents are not permitted. Each of the sites come equipped with water, electricity (30 and 50 amps), and sewage hookups. Overnight rates start at $38. All sites also have a picnic table and fire ring. Grills aren't provided on sites; however, there are 12 grills scattered throughout the campground for guests to utilize at their own convenience. Campsites are large and can fit both slide-out units and larger rigs, as pull-though and back-in sites are available.  

At Sky Mountain, you'll be amazed at the amenities "off-fured." As the campsites are nestled along the Rio Chama River, you'll have unlimited access to the water. Anglers can sit back and relax while casting a line in the river. Other amenities include a laundry room, heated bathhouse, and free wireless internet access on all sites. A large canopy is available for group functions, complete with a barbecue and refrigerator, as well as seating for up to 48 guests. Movie and book rentals are another option for a rainy day.
