Sportsman's Cove Campground

Sportsman’s Cove Campground is a public campground located in McIntosh, Florida. McIntosh is a charming town that is filled with over 60 historic sites, making this cozy campground a great place to stay for history buffs or anyone who enjoys sightseeing and wants to bring along their four-legged family member.

The campground offers 49 sites for RV camping, all of which have full hookups available and five of which are pull-throughs.  Rental cabins are available as well and come furnished with all the necessary basics. The campground is surrounded by oak trees that provide a good amount of shade. The campground can facilitate RVs no longer than 42 feet and offers 30 and 40 amp hookups. There are also water and sewer connections available. In addition to full hookups, the camp’s patrons can enjoy on-site laundry facilities, a bathhouse, a recreational room, and free wifi. Plus, for those who like swimming, fishing, and boating, there is a boat ramp, a marina, and even boat rentals. 

Campsites start at $36 per night, but prices vary depending on the chosen site’s location and features. Waterside and pull-through campsites are more pricey but are worth it according to the regular campers. Cabin rentals start at $60 per night.

The campground’s hosts do a great job at keeping the on-site facilities clean, stocked, and well-maintained. They also organize and schedule a variety of fun activities that the campground’s visitors can participate in, from group sightseeing trips and kayaking to biking, hiking, and airboat tours. There are plenty of spots to see in the area, with some popular locations being Lake Orange and the Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, both of which are only a few miles away from the campground. The Silver Spring State Park is worth a visit as well, and it is approximately 20 miles away from the campground.
