Sprewell Bluff Park is a peaceful park located on the beautiful Flint River. This pawesome campground has both RV and tent campsites as well as cabins, two of which are dog-friendly. The nightly rates at this fun-filled campground begin at $30. Amenities include drinking water, hookups, a camp store, and a playground for the kiddos. Note that one canine camper will incur a fee of $30, which increases to $50 for two dogs.
While you’re at Sprewell Bluff Park, you’ll find tons of fun things to do with your furry best friend. If you and your dog enjoy hiking together, Sprewell Bluff Park has lots of trails for you to explore. If you’d like to go on a scenic trek along the Flint River, try the 2.2-mile Sprewell Bluff Trail. This trail takes you in a loop around the river and passes through scenic woodland areas. If you’re in the mood for a longer trek, try the 4.1-mile Widowmaker Trail. This out-and-back trail takes you up to an overlook where you’ll get stunning views of the Flint River. As you’re hiking on these two trails, you may get to see some of the park’s native birds.
Sprewell Bluff Park is also a good choice for boaters and fishermen. If you’re bringing a boat, canoe, or kayak, a boat ramp is available in the campground. You can also try your luck fishing for a wide variety of freshwater fish from the banks of the river. Or, you can simply relax on one of the park’s riverside benches and enjoy the view.
When you and your pup get hungry, grill up dinner on your campsite’s charcoal grill. You can then enjoy your meal from your campsite’s personal picnic table. Each campsite also comes with a campfire ring — perfect for building a roaring fire!
