When you're looking to enjoy all of the delights of the outdoors in Oregon, the Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort is an excellent base camp for all of your adventures! Located in Frenchglen, this resort is near the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, Steens Mountain, Diamond Craters, and plenty of other exciting attractions. The campground sits on more than 16 acres and includes cabins, RV, and tent camping sites. Three of the cabins and all of the RV and tent sites allow dogs, but your pet must be on a leash when they're not inside.
There are nine different cabins at Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort that all have kitchen areas and bathrooms with showers. Modest cabins require guests to bring their own linens, while the deluxe options with more amenities also include bedding, towels, a washer and dryer, and other useful items. There are 38 RV sites with full hookups. Each spot has a fire pit, and there's a dump station on site that costs $9 to use. The 14 tent sites sit in grassy, shaded areas, and water and electric are available if needed. Newly renovated washrooms in the campground are just a short walk away, and guests rave about their cleanliness. Tent sites run for $15 daily, while RV sites go for $30 to $35. Cabins range from $60 to $195. Pet-friendly cabins charge an extra $10 if you bring your pup.
Some of Steens Mountain Wilderness' other useful amenities include free wifi, a small library, a playground, and laundry facilities. If you forget anything, the campground's general store is stocked with drinks and snacks, camping supplies, firewood, and other useful items. If you plan on fishing or hunting in the parks around the campground, you can also purchase permits at the general store.
Reservations are strongly encouraged at Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort, and should you need to cancel for any reason, one week's notice is required. You and your pooch are going to have the time of your lives at this outdoor oasis!
