Stockdale Campground’s sites sit on the shore of Tuttle Creek Lake, a vast lake covering nearly 11,000 acres. There are 12 sites with 50-amp electric hookups, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and lantern poles. You can also find other pawesome amenities on the premises like drinking water and showers. All of the sites have a nightly fee of $20 and can accommodate up to eight campers.
You and your waggy companion will find lots of furrific activities around the campground. Tuttle Creek Lake is a fun destination where you can swim, fish, boat, or have a picnic. If you want to venture out a little further from the campground, you should check out some of the area’s trails, where you and your furry friend can stretch your legs and enjoy scenic views of the area’s natural features. Cedar Ridge Trail is a popular choice that allows dogs on-leash. This easy loop trail runs just over half a mile and offers glimpses of the lake as well as park benches where you and Fido can relax. Cottonwood Trail is another good option. At just over a quarter of a mile, this out-and-back trail is the pawfect trek for lazy lapdogs or older pooches who can't quite move like they used to.
Remember that your canine companion needs to remain leashed while you stay at Stockdale Campground. Also be sure to clean up after your dog throughout your visit. If you plan on exploring some of the area’s trails, be on the lookout for poison oak and ticks; both are common in the region.
