Description

Tallahassee East Campground is a public campground located in Monticello, Florida. It is located by the bass- and catfish-filled Lake Catherine and makes an ideal location for fishing and boating. A fishing license is not required.

The campground features 77 sites, 72 of which offer full hookups and 66 of which are pull-through. The campground is tent and RV-friendly and can accommodate big RVs of up to 100 feet. The sites are unpaved, but most of them are well-shaded. There are several cabins available for rent on-site. The roads that lead to the site are part gravel and dirt, so expect your RV to get muddy or dusty depending on the weather.

Since the campground offers water and electric hookups (30 and 50 amp), visitors can enjoy camping in the wilderness without forgoing cozy evenings with basic comforts. Plus, you can rent out movies at the campground, which is a perfect way to spend the night after a day outdoors hiking and fishing. Each campsite is equipped with a fire ring and a picnic table. There is also a picnic pavilion, a camp store, and a meeting room.

There are flushing toilets and hot showers available at the campground, which is expected at a campground with sites starting at $38 per night. There is also a storage facility, a dump station, a pool, a game room, and laundry facilities. Although there is wifi, the connection is not always stable so keep that in mind and don't expect to have a consistent connection. The campground’s hosts are incredibly generous with their time and effort in making sure everyone is settled in and taken care of. What’s more, they happen to be great bakers and will often offer delicious cookies upon the visitors' arrival, as well as fresh pastries in the mornings that the campground’s patrons can enjoy along with breakfast free of charge!

The campground is located in a forested area with many wooded trails nearby that are perfect for hiking with your canine companion. Just make sure to keep your pooch leashed and clean up after your four-legged friend.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
