Description

Camp in an ecosystem like no other at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. You'll no doubt be in awe of the beautiful, towering sand dunes, dividing the ocean from multiple freshwater lakes. If you're lucky, during your visit, you may even find yourself face to face with an endangered creature that calls this unique biome home. This incredible state park can be found on Florida's Emerald Coast and makes for a breathtaking vacation.

You'll find 160 campsites here, 20 of which are for tenters only, and the other 140 are designated just for RVs and trailers. The lots that accommodate larger shelters are equipped with full hookup options, while the tent sites have only picnic tables and fire rings. Drinking water is available throughout the park via faucets and laundry services are on-site. There also 29 cabins up for rent, but keep in mind that no furry friends are allowed inside of these structures.

To enter the park, you'll have to purchase a ParkPass permit, which costs $6. Nightly rates start at $24 for campers and jump to $42 for RV and trailer guests. The cabins range anywhere from $120 to $145 per night and two of them are wheelchair accessible.

With over 3 miles of Gulf beach, most visitors here spend their days near the ocean waters. Swimming is allowed, but no lifeguards are on duty. On the shore, you can rent a beach cart or a kayak to make your time more enjoyable. Further ashore, you and your pupper can go for endless adventures on the 10 miles of hiking trails found in this park, or try your luck at geocaching in the woods! Back at the camp, kids can burn off that last bit of steam before bedtime on the facility's playground.

As with most Florida state parks, your canine compadre will be able to join you here at Topsail Hill. Keep in mind that doggos are not allowed on the beach and that it is imperative that you clean up after your pooch so that woofers will be welcome here for years to come.

Calling all campers who'd like to spend their holidays on a spectacular beach -- Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is the place to go!
