Description

The beautiful Trace Branch Campground offers you and your pooch the opportunity to camp at waterfront campsites, giving you unlimited views of Buckhorn Lake. Not only does this campground offer you unlimited access to water, but the dog-friendly hiking trails surrounding the campground are perfect for your pooch.

Almost all campsitesĀ are waterfront at Trace Branch and start as low as $22 per night. The campground is located in the Appalachian Mountain Range, so you can expect to find plenty of grassy and forested landscape for you and your pup to discover. Campsites are shaded and come with fire rings. All sites are standard electric, with water hookups available. Campsites can accommodate RVs and other vehicles, as well as tents. You won't find sewage at this campground so expect to be "ruffing" it like your pup. There is a comfort station and dump station for your convenience.

Other amenities you can check out include a fishing location suitable for any angler. Muskies are abundant in the lake. Other water activities include swimming, water sports,Ā and boating. A boating ramp is located within the grounds. A shower house and laundry facility are also available for all guests to utilize. For entertainment, there's horseshoe pits, a basketball court,Ā and a playground.

Some facts to note are the campground can flood when the lake levels are higher than normal. This can happen with persistent rainfall, so calling ahead before booking is suggested. When it comes to your pooch, remember to keep them on a leash at all times. They are permitted in the lake, but not in the main swimming area accessible to guests. Other entry points can be found around the lake. You're also reminded to tidy up any mess they makeĀ and keep them under control at all times. All dog breeds are welcome at Trace Branch, so vacationing with any pooch is no problem!

If you're interested in a vacation where you and your pup are surrounded by the rolling, forested hills of the Appalachian Mountain Range, then Trace Ranch Campground is perfect for you. With the seclusion of the Kentucky outdoors, you and your pooch are sure to have a pawsitively relaxing vacation!
