Description

Turtle Rock RV Resort may have the best positioning in Gold Beach, with RV sites overlooking the sea and Hunter Creek, a meandering stretch of water where the salmon fishing is legendary.

Drive into the resort and park the RV on a spacious, gravel pad. Some lots come with an added bonus of a fenced patio with your very own hot tub and pretty garden furniture. What a great way to unwind before exploring the nearby beach and resort!

Full hookups are available, and RVs can choose between pull-through and back-in sites. A manicured grassy space either side allows for a fire ring and picnic table. Sites also offer cable TV and internet access. The daily rate ranges from $37 to $83.

Turtle Rock boasts a 24-acre playground with miles of beach, as well as pristine restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. You won’t need to head for the mountains to find a forest at your back door with endless walking trails for nature lovers. This unique landscape has it all, and the party starts from the moment you check in with the ultra-friendly staff and get cozy in your choice of accommodation.

That includes the resort's fully furnished cottages, with an efficient kitchen, bathroom, and separate bedroom featuring a king-size bed. The location of each cottage is priceless and right on the water’s edge, in view of the famous Turtle Rock, a unique sculpture commanding your attention.

There is a busy road between the beach and the park, with some traffic noise reported for sites nearer the Pacific Coast Highway. Further back, the sound is buffeted by the waves rolling onto the shore. There are a few select sites for backpackers and families who enjoy sleeping under the stars. These sites are limited, so it’s wise to book if this is your preference.

Hunter Creek offers a ton of outdoor fun where you can swim, kayak or surf at the beach across the road. The resort lets you play horseshoes or browse the campground store packed to the rafters with gifts, RV supplies, and beverages.

The family pooch is invited to join the fun, with a few reasonable rules in place. One pet gets in free, and then a fee of $5 applies per additional dog. Woofers will pawsitively love the exercise area, and they're also welcome on the beach as long as they're leashed. Doggy bags are provided, and owners are required to pick up their furry friend's waste.

Turtle Rock RV Resort is in the business of inspiring a feel-good factor that sees campers return year after year. Their peak times are the summer months and holidays, with spaces filling up fast.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
